
I VOTED TODAY! Vote early! Your life and the lives of your loved ones depend on it. We live in an imperfect world. It’s up to us to change it in an orderly and safe fashion. Voting allows us to do that. Now is not the time to be cynical! Too many people have given their lives so that we have the right to vote.
According to the National Archives News, “Before COVID-19, the most severe pandemic in recent history was the 1918 influenza virus, often called “the Spanish Flu.”. The virus infected roughly 500 million people—one-third of the world’s population—and caused 50 million deaths worldwide (double the number of deaths in World War I). In the United States, a quarter of the population caught the virus, 675,000 died, and life expectancy dropped by 12 years.“
On July 30, 2020, the New York Post reported that every minute, an American dies from COVID-19. The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projects that by the end of the year, 410,000 Americans will die from this deadly disease. Vote early and wear a mask when you are around others.
