Are we really one nation under God? How can we ask God to bless this land when we kill, murder, and destroy? How many more black and white lives will be lost? What would Jesus do? This is what his Word says: “But let justice run down like waters. And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”
As the world watches, they ask, “Where is America’s moral leadership?” This is the question Dr. King asked from his Birmingham cell. America will be judged. You can’t strip away someone’s humanity without stripping away your own. At the end of the day, when the wife and kids of those four police
officers ask, “How was your day, honey?” What do they say— “I took away someone’s humanity, as well as my own?” How can these officers sleep at night?
Can America call itself a moral nation? Maybe COVID-19 will teach us to kneel to God and ask for forgiveness that our land may be healed. 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Thank you to all the White protestors that are taking a stand and are joining in with people of color. You are showing America that racism will not be tolerated and there is hope for a new America that will live up to the Declaration of Independence that says all men are created equally and have the RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To everyone, PLEASE PROTEST PEACEFULLY, NONVIOLENTLY, WEAR A MASK, AND VOTE.
