Step Three when you are desiring to marry is to launch out into the deep. Ruth launched out into the deep by choosing to stay with her mother-in-law, Naomi during a time of famine when she had nothing to offer her. Ruth chose to stay despite Naomi’s pleas for her to return to her homeland.
Ruth humbled herself and said to Naomi, “Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.” In a foreign land, Ruth submitted herself and went to work gathering scraps hoping for favor. I hear women say all the good men are taken, there’s nothing left but scraps of men who are single and jobless, egotistical, on the down low, gay, or married and cheating on their wives. These women curse their future by saying that there is no favor for them, all the good men are taken.
Like Ruth, women who want to get married must believe that in spite of the statistics, they will find favor as Ruth did. This attitude of faith is key. You attract to yourself what you believe according to the law of attraction. If you believe you will be successful, you will be as long as you take action that reproduces in accordance with your positive thoughts. If you think that you will be unsuccessful and won’t get married, you will have what you say. This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. As long as you don’t quit and take action that brings you toward your husband, you will get married.
Launching out into the deep means allowing yourself to feel uncomfortable at times. It means saying no to dates who want to take advantage of you sexually with no thoughts of marriage. It means doing something different on your own. If you eat at a restaurant with your BFF all the time why would a guy approach you? In the deep, you may feel alone, abandoned, unloved, but you must remember and stand on God’s word that says you are his princess and he will give you the desires of your heart. Stand firm in your faith and know that Payday is Coming. I dare you to trust him!
