What would you do or how much would you pay for a ring that gave you authority, power, healing, wisdom, and prosperity? Years ago, the #Lost Son received a ring that was worth even more than this. Like King #Solomon, who was the richest, wisest, most discerning, and famous king of his era, he wasn’t looking for money either. Solomon asked for wisdom and discernment to govern God’s people. The Lost Son humbly asked his father for repentance and daily bread after he had squandered his inheritance on prostitutes. Both received more than they asked for.

The Lost Son received a ring from his father, fine clothing, shoes, and a celebratory feast. His brother was angry with their father. He felt his brother was unworthy because of his sins. He refused to celebrate his brother’s return.

Do we stay outside the celebration and refuse to see that God wants to put a ring of authority on our finger— give us wisdom, discernment, healing, healthy relationships, and prosperity? Are we our worse enemies because we think we are undeserving? God is saying to you like the father said to his angry son, “You are always with me, and everything I have is yours.” His promise to you when you repent is to give you the desires of your heart according to his will. I dare you to try him!
