Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye. Psalm 17:7-8, NIV
If you look into
someone’s eye, you will see yourself reflected in their pupil, the apple, of
their eye. As the apple of God’s eye, we feel his eyes upon us when he answers
our prayers, blesses us with loved ones and allows us to enjoy another day.
He is a God that saves with his right hand. God showed me the wonders of his
great love when he saved me at the age of thirteen. I cried out and acknowledged to him that I
was a sinner. In response, I felt a cleansing, that let me know that all was
well. Like Saul, my Damascus road
encounter was life-changing. Society told me my future was limited based on my
birth certificate that labeled me as a “colored” girl. But God, the master physician favored me. He performed
heart surgery, removed the sin and gave me a new heart and a prosperous future.
God is no respecter of persons and wants to show you the wonders of his great love.
Do you believe you are the apple of his eye?
